Why BBSpark exists.
Many people today stand before broken bridges — talent without opportunity, ideas without mentors.
Nigeria continues to face significant socio-economic challenges characterized by high unemployment, underemployment, poverty, social exclusion, and limited opportunities for youth, women, and persons living with disabilities. Each year, thousands of graduates and young people enter the labour market without the practical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, leadership capacity, mentorship, networks, and financial support necessary to thrive.
Building Bridges Spark (BBSpark) bridges opportunity gaps by empowering individuals through leadership development, entrepreneurship, capacity building, mentorship, advocacy, hospitality services, and community engagement.

What we collect
When you join the community we keep your name, your email address, an optional phone number, and a password (stored in scrambled form, never in plain text). When you apply for an event we keep your application, any note you write, and our decision. We use a cookie to keep you signed in. Staff may also add contacts BBSpark already holds, such as people who signed up on paper.
How we use it
To run your account, to let you apply for events and workshops and tell you our decision, and to help you reset a forgotten password. Email addresses are collected for BBSpark's records and are used only for BBSpark's promotional and informational messages (news, events and opportunities), which we send if you ticked the box or we have recorded that you agreed. Emails about your own applications and account are sent whether or not you opted in to updates, because they are part of the service.
Updates and unsubscribing
Every update email has an unsubscribe link. You can also switch updates on or off at any time in your account. Once you unsubscribe, BBSpark staff cannot turn updates back on for you; only you can.
Who can see it
Authorised BBSpark staff. Email addresses and your other details are kept confidential: other community members and the public cannot see them. If you post or reply in the community, the username and profile picture you chose appear beside your post for other signed-in members; your real name, email address and phone number are never shown. Emails are delivered through the email service BBSpark uses.
Your choices
You can change your name and phone number in your account. To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email buildingbridgesspark@gmail.com.
